VI COMMANDO

Prt. John Rasmussen, a Danish National and seaman formerly of the Royal East Kent Regiment (the Buffs) as the King of Denmark was its Honorary Colonel then No.62 Commando, served with HQ Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 30^th August 1943.

No.3 Troop of No.6 Commando from, at least, 5^th June 1944. John Rasmussen later emigrated to Canada after a career in the Prison Service that saw him promoted to a Deputy Governor, and then served with the Canadian Armed Forces.
